Conference delegates were invited to choose a single image to illustrate how their research affects the wider world. They needed to add a 150 word description and a summary statement of no more than 140 characters to the image.
The Beacon for Wales printed entries and displayed them in the conference exhibition. A winner was chosen by a panel of judges selected by the Beacon for Wales, and a prize of £250 was awarded to the best entry. In addition, delegates voted for the ‘People’s Choice’ and this entry was awarded a small prize.
